Ingredients
- Sugar 1 cup
- Milk 1 cup
- Semolina 1 cup
- Water 1 cup
- Butter 4 tbsp
- Pine Nut 4 tbsp
Method
Step 1
Put the milk, water and sugar in a small saucepan and stir on a medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Step 2
Bring it to boil and remove from heat.
Step 3
Put the butter and pine nuts in a large saucepan and stir on low heat for few minutes.
Step 4
Add the semolina and stir until golden brown in color.
Step 5
Add the milk mixture very carefully, heat may splash it around.
Step 6
Cover the saucepan and cook on a low heat until the milk mixture is totally soaked into the semolina.
Step 7
Turn the heat off and continue to stir for few minutes until the halva settles.
Step 8
Let the halva cool down in the covered saucepan.
Step 9
Pour in a lightly greased mold.
Step 10
When serving, turn it upside down on a plate and shake lightly till it comes out.
Step 11
(You can also serve irmik Helvasi slightly warm or cold with ice cream)
