Sindhi Biryani is most popular recipe of biryani. There are allot of spices in this recipe. Once you try this biryani and you will never forget the taste of this dish.


  • Salt as to taste
  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Coriander Powder 2 tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tbsp
  • Red Pepper (Crushed) 2 tbsp
  • Tomato 5
  • Potatoes 4
  • Rice 4 cups
  • Onion 4
  • Clove (Long) 6
  • Black Pepper (Whole) 12
  • Coriander (Hara dhania) 1 cup
  • Turmeric Powder 1 tbsp
  • Lemon peel 2
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Spices Powder (Garam Masala) 1 tbsp
  • Bay Leaf (Taiz Pattay) 1
  • Cinnamon 3 sticks
  • White Cumin 1 tsp
  • Onion Brown (golden brown) 2
  • Garam Masala Powder
  • Cardamom Green 6
  • Plum Dried plums (alu bukharay) 10-12


Step 1

Fill a cooking pot with water.

Step 2

Add white cumin, green cardamom, cloves in water.

Step 3

Also add cardamom (bari ilaichee) in the above pot.

Step 4

Let a boil come.

Step 5

Add rice in above water-pot and Boil the rice.

Step 6

Add chicken in a pan.

Step 7

Now add 4 browned onions, ginger garlic paste.

Step 8

And fry them for sometime.

Step 9

Add bay leaf, cinnamom, black pepper and green cardamom.

Step 10

Also add cardamom, white cumin and cloves, now cook them for sometime.

Step 11

Add yoghurt, red pepper powder, turmeric and garam masala powder.

Step 12

Also add corriander powder and mix them all well, now, cook for a while.

Step 13

Add alu bukharay in it and mix, while cooking.

Step 14

Also add potatoes (which have been fried previously and choped) in it.

Step 15

Add 1 cup water in it.

Step 16

Add whole green chillies, fresh coriander, and mint.

Step 17

Leave on slow heat to cook for sometime.

Step 18

Add 1 cup of water in it.

Step 19

Fry tomatoes (sliced cut) and add them on chicken curry.

Step 20

Then add rice on top of it.

Step 21

Add the left tomatoes on top of rice.

Step 22

Add fresh coriander and mint in it and leave on dum.
