Shahi Tukray – Shahi tukray is the quick and delicious dessert of Sub-Continent, made of bread slices, milk and nuts.
Ingredients
- Sugar 250 gm
- Silver Foil for garnishing
- Milk 1 liter
- Almond blanched 10 gram
- Pistachios blanched 10 gram
- Saffron a pich
- Khoya 125 gram
- Green Cardamom 3-4
- Bread slices 6
- Cooking Oil for frying
Method
Step 1
Boil milk with cardamom and add saffron and blanched pistachio and almonds.
Step 2
Simmer milk on low flame till it reduces to half while stirring at intervals.
Step 3
Add khoya to the cooked milk.
Step 4
Add sugar and dissolve it, let it simmer.
Step 5
Remove the corners of the bread slices and cut into triangular shape. One slice will make 2 triangles.
Step 6
Deep Fry slices till golden brown. And set in the serving dish.
Step 7
Pour the whole boiled milk mixture on the slices and leave to cool.
Step 8
Garnish with some khoya, nuts and silver leaf.
Step 9
Serve warm or chilled.
