Shahi Gulab Jamun – The dessert of the weddings. Gulab Jamun are mainly made of reduced milk (khoya). Enjoy this recipe of very milky velvety Shahi gulab jamun by Chef Tahir Chaudary.


  • Sugar 2 cup
  • Baking Soda 1/4 tsp
  • Milk 1-2 tbsp
  • Khoya 1 cup
  • Water 1,1/2 cup
  • Cardamom Powder 4-6
  • Cooking Oil for frying


Step 1

For sugar syrup: In a pan add water, sugar and cardamom and cook on low flame for 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 2

For gulab jamun: In a bowl mix flour, khoya, baking soda, cardamom, and milk to knead and make small balls.

Step 3

Now in a pan heat oil and fry balls till it turns light brown.

Step 4

When its ready put it in sugar syrup for 10 to 15 minutes.
