Panchmel Daal Recipe




  • 2 Tablespoons of each lentil (yellow moong, urad, masoor, toor, chana / whole moong).
  • Salt.
  • Half tomato, chopped.
  • 1 and half Tablespoon of chopped garlic.
  • Whole spices (half Teaspoon of cumin seeds, 1/4th Teaspoon of fennel (mouri / sauf) seeds, 2 cloves and 1 dry red chilli).
  • 2 Tablespoons of oil.
  • Water.
  • Spice powder (pinch of hing / asafoetida, a Teaspoon of red chilli powder, a Teaspoon of turmeric powder, half Teaspoon of roasted coriander powder, pinch of garam masala powder).
  • Some chopped coriander leaves.
