In the mood for some delicious daal or lentils? Cooked in spices.
- Salt: to taste
- Cumin Powder: 1 tbsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste: 1 tbsp
- Tomato: 2
- Onion: 1
- Coriander (Hara dhania): 1/2 bunch
- Red Chilli Powder: 1 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder: 1 tbsp
- Yogurt: 250 grams
- Garlic: 4 cloves
- Green Chillies: 5
- Curry Leaves: few
- All Spice: 1 tbsp
- Water: 1 glass
- Butter: clarified 4 tbsp
- Gram lentils: 25 gm
- Cooking Oil: 1/4 cup
- Red Lentil: 25 gm
- Pigeon Peas: 25 gm
Soak grams lentils, red lentils, yellow lentils, pigeon peas and whole red lentils for an hour in water.
In a pan, heat oil and fry chopped onion until it turns golden brown.
Add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste in it.
When the paste has been cooked, add soaked lentils, chopped green chilies and 1 glass of water in it.
Also include yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, all spices powder, chopped tomatoes, coriander and salt to taste.
Cook it until lentils are properly cooked.
For Tempering: Heat clarified butter in a pan.
Fry finely sliced garlic cloves, cumin powder and curry leaves and pour this on cooked lentils.
Delicious Mix Lentils Masala is ready.
