Rattan Kalya in Manpasand Rivayat.

Ingredients

  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder 2 tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder 2 tsp
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • Manpasand Banaspati ½ cup
  • All Spice 1 tsp
  • Chili Powder 1 tsp
  • Trotters 4
  • Saffron ½ tsp
  • Coriander Leaves Chopped 2 tbsp
  • Ginger Slice 1 tbsp
  • Brown Onion ½ cup
  • Green Chilies Chopped 4

Method

Step 1

Boil Trotters in 6 cups of water with ½ tsp salt, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, ½ tsp turmeric and 1 sliced onion till tender, remove and keep aside.

Step 2

In another pan hear Manpasand banaspati add brown onion with salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and mutton.

Step 3

Fry well for 5 minutes, add yogurt and fry, then add 2 cups of water, cover and cook till mutton ½ done, then add boiled pye with its stalk, cook till done and thick greavy remains.

Step 4

Lasltly add all spice , chopped coriander and green chillies, ginger slic and saffron.
