Kabab Masala – Kebab masala is a special blend of spices which are used to marinate lamb, chicken or fish before preparing kebabs.
Ingredients
- Salt to taste
- Cumin Powder 2 tsp
- Red Pepper (Crushed) to taste
- Tomato 1 lb chopped
- Onion finely chopped 1 medium
- Coriander (Hara dhania) grounded 2 tsp
- Green Chillies finely sliced 6-8
- Beef grounded 2 lbs
- Chopped Garlic 3 tbsp
- Ginger Chopped 3 tbsp
- Cooking Oil 1/2 cup
- Cilantro leaves 1 bunch chopped
Method
Step 1
Mix the ground meat with chopped ginger, chopped garlic, ground cumin, ground corriander, salt, red pepper, one finely chopped onion, and half of the chopped coriander leaves.
Step 2
After mixing the ground meat well, mould the meat into kababs and set aside
Step 3
Heat oil in a flat medium depth pan.
Step 4
Add the tomatoes, green chillies, and coarsely chopped onion to the oil and fry on medium heat until onions soften and tomatoes turn to a coarse pulp.
Step 5
Add the remaining ginger, garlic, ground cumin, ground corriander, salt, and red pepper to the frying mixture and stir well.
Step 6
Add kababs and fry gently turning on all sides till kababs change color.
Step 7
Cover and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes (or until oil begins to separate) .
Step 8
Garnish with remaining cilantro and serve with hot naan or roti - also goes well with Biryani or Pulao.
