Gulab Jamun – You can’t go wrong in serving up these delicious enjoyments after dinner, at a party or at tea time. These gulab jamuns are made with khoya, suji, egg and flour.

Ingredients

  • Sugar 2 cup
  • Eggs 1/2
  • Plain Flour 1 tbsp
  • Semolina 1 tbsp
  • Khoya 250 gm
  • Baking Powder 1/2 tbsp
  • Water as required
  • Butter clarified as required
  • Cooking Oil for frying
  • kewra as required

Method

Step 1

Cook sugar in a pan with enough water for a syrup to form.

Step 2

Beat egg and add khoya and semolina to it.

Step 3

Mix together using your hands.

Step 4

Knead the mixture with baking powder and clarified butter.

Step 5

Make small balls.

Step 6

Heat oil for deep frying.

Step 7

Fry the balls till golden in colour.

Step 8

Dip the balls in sugar syrup and serve hot.
