Classic Gajrella Recipe is a contribution of Ruby Hina for Food Recipe Contest on Den of Delights.

Ingredients

  • Carrot (grated) ½ kg
  • Sugar ½ cup
  • Boiled Rice 1 cup
  • Milk 1 liter
  • Almond chopped 50 gm & Almond ground 4 tbsp
  • Khoya 1 cup
  • Fresh Cream 1 cup
  • Cardamom Green ¼ tsp
  • Condensed Milk 1 tin
  • kewra 1 tbsp

Method

Step 1

Boil 1 liter milk till it comes to a boil, Now add 1 cup boiled rice and ½ kg grated carrot. Cook on low flame till thickens.

Step 2

Add ½ cup sugar and turn the flame high. Cook till water dries.

Step 3

Now add 1 tin condensed milk, 1 cup khoya, 4 tbsp Almond ( ground ), 1 Tbsp kewra and ¼ tsp ground cardamom. Mix well and turn the flame off.

Step 4

Dish it out, garnish with 1 cup fresh Malai and 50 gm chopped almond.
