Ingredients
- Salt 1 tbsp
- Chicken (kharahi cut) 1 kg
- Cumin Powder 2 tbsp
- Onion (thinly sliced) 3
- Clove (Long) 8 pcs
- Black Pepper whole 6
- Yogurt 2 cups
- Garlic 1 tbsp
- Ginger 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon 4 sticks
- Whole Red Chilli dried (peeled & ground) 20-22
- Water 1 cup
- Cardamom Green 6
- Cooking Oil 1 cup
- kewra 6 to 7 tbsp
Method
Step 1
Dry pan-fry cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, cloves,
Step 2
cumin until you can smell the fragrance of the spices and set aside,
Step 3
In saucepan fry onions in oil until light golden brown,
Step 4
Strain and set aside.
Step 5
In remaining oil, fry pieces of chicken on high heat for about 5 minutes
Step 6
Stirring occasionally.
Step 7
Add ginger, garlic and stir- fry for another minute.
Step 8
Add salt, ground red peppers and immediately,
Step 9
Add water and place lid for a 2-3 minutes,
Step 10
Blend onion and yogurt in a blender and add to chicken,
Step 11
Add kewra, cook for 5 more minutes,serve into a serving dish.
