Chicken Almond Qorma2012-04-30
Chicken qorma is dish of subcontinental. This is one of the most famous dish of Pakistan. The gravy in this dish gives chicken a very special taste.
- Salt to taste
- Chicken 500 gm
- Coriander Powder 1 tbsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tbsp
- Onion 500 gm
- Yogurt 250 gm
- Nutmeg mace 20 gm
- Almond as required
- Red Chili Ground 2 tbsp
- All Spice
- Garam Masala Powder Ground 1 tbsp
- Cooking Oil 1 cup
- kewra few drops
Heat oil in a pan, fry onion till golden and remove from oil.
Add ginger, garlic paste and chicken.
Fry for a few seconds till the chicken is tender.
Add all ingredients (yogurt, ground red chilli, coriander powder, cloves, black pepper, cardamom, black cardamom, cinnamon, salt) and cook.
Add crush brown onions and kewra to it.
Mix green cardamom, nutmeg, mace and black cardamom, grind these four ingredients together.
Then add half teaspoon of this mixture to the chicken.
Add almond paste to the cooked chicken.
Now cover it and reduce the heat to low flame for three minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and sliced or julienning ginger.
