Bhindi Gosht – Completely different from your ordinary bhindi gosht recipe. Dry bhindi gosht curry is nicely flavored with tamarind pulp that gives it a completely new spicy and sour flavor.
Ingredients
- Salt 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder 2 tsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tbsp
- Tomato 250 gm
- Onion 250 gm
- Red Chilli Powder 2 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder 1/2 tbsp
- Green Chillies 6
- Tamarind Paste (Imli) 4 tbsp
- Mutton 1/2 kg
- Cumin Seeds 1 tbsp
- All Spice 1 tbsp
- Cooking Oil 1 cup
- Bhindi(Okra) 1/2 kg
Method
Step 1
Mix mutton with salt, 4 glass water, turmeric, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste and cumin seeds.
Step 2
Cook on low flame till tender.
Step 3
Mean while, fry okra/bhindi till cooked.
Step 4
Then fry chopped onions slightly.
Step 5
When the mutton is done and the water has dried, fry the mutton in rest of the oil.
Step 6
Add tomato and onion to mutton.
Step 7
Add okra/bhindi, green chilies, tamarind paste and whole spice powder.
Step 8
Cook for 10 minutes.
Step 9
Tasty Bhindi Gosht is ready. Serve hot with Chapatti.
